Sacrifice and Suffering!

People hate to see these words when it comes to healthy living. We all want to accomplish things the easy way. Well you know as well as me that anything of value in life comes about by hard work. Why shouldn't this be the way it is with weight loss. Now, smart weight loss makes things easier but not without some changes in diet and exercise.

  • First, substitute low calorie versions of the foods you like. This entails a little pain.

  • Second, don't buy the foods you know you can't resist and you don't really need to have at home- i.e. chocolate chip cookies. This entails a little pain.

  • Third, begin a walking program (if ok with your doctor). This entails a little pain.

It is a fundamental lie that you shouldn't have to sacrifice and feel pain in life. Maybe we should accept this fact and not feel so deprived when modifying our lifestyle. All good things are accomplished through sweat and blood. Enjoy it.
